Meet Beverly “Bev” Risley, our July Resident of the Month! She was born and raised in Falls of Rough, Kentucky, on a farm in Breckenridge County. Bev decided to call Traditions at Beaumont home after she and her family toured the Louisville community several times and loved what they saw. Bev said, “I love that Beaumont is close to family! I am a very social person and there are always people socializing here.”
Bev and her husband, Jim, have called Traditions at Beaumont home for nearly a year. Bev lights up when talking about her extended family, stating, “We have two beautiful daughters, three grandsons, one granddaughter, one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter.”
Bev is retired from Humana where she worked in Referral Authorizations. She loves to quilt in her free time and mentioned that “my hidden talent is singing in the choir at both church and school.”
Bev loves the Traditions at Beaumont chef’s prime rib dinner and his quesadillas. “The best part of living at Beaumont is my apartment and all the friends that I have made in the last year.”
When asked why she chose Bev as Traditions July Resident of the Month, Rebekah Nicholas, Executive Director for Traditions at Beaumont said, “Beverly brings joy to all she encounters! She always has a smile on her face, an encouraging word to share, and lots of “Bev hugs” to give. She never hesitates to take new residents under her wing and make them feel at home at Beaumont.”
