This month, we are proud to shine the spotlight on our beloved Grace Walker, who has been a cherished member of the Traditions at Reagan Park community for the past 15 months.
Grace was born and raised in Brazil, Indiana, where she grew up surrounded by strong family values and a deep sense of community. After a short stay in rehab, her thoughtful children lovingly prepared her new home at Reagan Park, and she’s been bringing warmth and positivity to our halls ever since.
Grace was married to her husband, Alfred, for 60 wonderful years. Together, they raised four children, though one has since passed, and their legacy continues to grow with 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren!
Grace is proud to have called herself a homemaker. She also worked for 11 years as a grill cook for GM. Her favorite hobbies include reading and doing word searches, and when it comes to activities at Traditions at Reagan Park, Grace is all in for tennis, kickball, and bowling!
Her favorite meal? Classic comfort food - fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy.
“Grace is an outstanding resident,” said Linda Honeycutt, Reagan Park Activity Director. “She is my inspiration! Grace is turning 101 in July and is very active daily with exercise and walks around the grounds to enjoy the beauty of Traditions. Grace is a true disciple of God; she offers to help anyone that is in need.”
