Meet Cam Byrd, our January Employee of the Month! Cam was born in Louisville, Kentucky and raised just across the Ohio River in New Albany, Indiana. Cam has been part of the Traditions at Hunter Station family since 2018.
When Cam isn’t providing excellent service at Hunter Station, he loves spending time with his friends and family, which include his mom, dad, stepmom, brother-in-law, and nephew. He also enjoys playing the guitar (both acoustic and electric), watching sporting events and going out for long drives.
When asked what he loves most about his job, Cam said, “My job is incredibly fulfilling. When I go home, I know that I’ve impacted our residents’ days for the better. That means a lot to me. I also have amazing co-workers!”
Additionally, he shared a poignant moment saying, “When I was working here in high school, we stopped by on prom night all dressed up and said hello to the residents… they adored us! That is such a sweet memory to me.”
Cam went on to say, “I feel very privileged... it is a pleasure to service our residents every day.”
When asked why they nominated Cam as Traditions Employee of the Month, Kylie Wellborn, Hunter Station’s Community Relations Director stated, “Cam was chosen by our team to be Employee of the Month due to his dedication, passion, care of residents, and his joyful demeanor in everything he does. We are truly lucky to have Cam on our team!”
Kim Williams, Culinary Director for Hunter Station, went on to say, “Camryn [Cam] is one of my long-standing servers, having been with us since 2018. He is very patient with some of our most vulnerable residents. He is passionate about the superior dining experience that each resident receives. Our residents love Cam so much! He’s an outstanding young man who will prosper in the years to come.”
