She’s back!
Florence, AKA Flo or Fireball Flo, recently celebrated her 106th birthday at Traditions of Deerfield, a Traditions Management community in Cincinnati, Ohio!
Flo’s children say her key to living a full life has been her positive attitude! Flo demonstrates her positive attitude every day. She is an active participant in her community and is always seen at events having a great time and spreading positivity and cheer. Follow the fun on Facebook!
“I just try to be nice to people and try to go one day at a time - that’s all,” Flo says. “If you get that one day in, then you can go on to the next one. So that’s what you’ve got to do – one day at a time – think what I’ve got to do today. You’ve got to keep moving as long as you can.“ - Flo said.
You may remember Flo, the feisty fan of Cincinnati Bengals football and Fireball Whisky, from her viral 105th birthday celebration last year. Our experienced staff recognized the significance of this milestone and thought it might be fun to have a big celebration and share Flo with the world. Well, this year, Flo is even BIGGER, appearing on news stories all over the country from West Virginia to Washington ,social media posts, and even national media like USA Today!

Flo was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, to her parents Margaret and Henry, on December 16, 1918. She worked for the Union Central Life Insurance Company and later focused on being a homemaker. Flo loves the Cincinnati Bengals, local firefighters, and Fireball whiskey! The Deerfield Township Fire Department, Fireball Whisky, and just about every news station in town turned out to party with Flo and about 200 invited guests and fellow Traditions of Deerfield residents.
